The Sarasota Christian Blazers started the week off right by defeating Academy at the Lakes. The Blazers defeated Academy at the Lakes 42-12 Monday Night. The Blazers got off to a slow start but defense came up with a big early stop and set the tone for the game.SCS was able to build a 14-0 lead going into half time. Travis Miller for 2 more of his 4 TD catches and then
Randall Collins hauled in 2 of his own to seal the game. The Blazers scored twice on 4th and 10 or more plays in the victory.Â
The Blazers were led by
Ben Milliken who passed for 325 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Travis Miller had 7 receptions for 154 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Randall Collins had 7 receptions for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Daniel Jacinto led the team in rushing yards with 82 yards.
Austin Kerle led the team in tackles with 7.
Austin Kerle llead teh defense with 2 sacks and 9 tackles while
Carson Spenn recorded 3 tackles for loss.
Travis Miller and
Daniel Jacinto recorded 8 tackles each as the Blazers held the Wildcats to -10 yards rushing onthe night.Â
The Game was a great team win and SCS will try to keep their two game win streak alive in their game Friday night at Lakeside Christian in Clearwater at 7:00pm.Â
