The Blazers put on a show to open the season in front of a great crowd. 8 different Blazers found the end zone in route to a 55-0 defeat of Geneva Classical. The Blazers had 7 possessions on the night with all of them ending in the end zone.
Daniel Jacinto added a record breaking 98 yard interception return as even the defense got in on the scoring. Jacinto had two interceptions and Juda Avery recovered a fumble as the Blazers dominated the turnover battle. Three QBs through touchdown passes for the Blazers. The first touchdown of the season came when
Ben Milliken connected with
Colton Loftus on the first drive for a 29 yard score.Â
Justin Brock would connect with Juda Avery,
Randall Collins and
Noah Spenn for TD passes in addition to his own rushing TD.
Austin Kerle would record one on the ground and
Cale Zeltwanger would connect with
Brad Moltrup as the JV put up a score late in the game.  The defense was solid all night long as the Blazers out gained the Knights 261 to 173.
Daniel Jacinto had 9 tackles and Randal Collins had 6 to pace the Blazers.
Trey Featherston and
Carson Spenn each recorded 1.5 tackles for loss.Â
The night showcased the facility upgrades to the stadium this summer with more improvements coming in the weeks ahead. The crowed was estimated at around 1,000 people. The Blazers will host SLAM Tampa on Friday night. It is cowboy night and half time will feature a miniature horse show from SCS JuniorÂ
