The Blazers suffered their first loss of the season to a very good Donahue Catholic team. Both teams entered the game undefeated and the game did not disappoint. Both teams have scored a lot of point but found themselves in a defensive battle. Donahue took an early lead on a botched punt by the Shamrocks resulted in a touchdown. The Blazers would rally to block the extra point and then eventually take the lead on the first of two Justin Brock rushing touchdowns. In the closing minute of the first half the Blazers went 68 yards to set up a Judah Avery 28 yard field goal. The Blazers trailed 14-10 at half. 

The third play of the second half was a 65 yard TD run by Justin Brock. On the night Justin was 13 of 21 for 171 yards passing, had two catches for 41 yards and 12 carries for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Miller hauled in most of the catches at 7 for 132 yards. The Blazers defense was tough all night as they forced 4 turnovers but the Donahue ground game was hard to stop. Austin Kerle had 19 tackles (11 solo) and an interception while Daniel Jacinto had 17 tackles with 6 solos. 

The Blazers could not keep the Shamrocks out of the endzone at the end of the third quarter and went into the 4th trailing 19-17. The Blazers moved the ball into the redzone but could not get it into the endzone. Donahue found the endzone one last time late in the game to make the final 17-26.

The Blazers will return home to take on Lakeside Christian on October 6.
