Sarasota Christian and The Out Of Door Academy played an outstanding high school football game with a little bit of everything. The Blazers fell behind early and the Thunder defense forced 4 turnovers on the night. The Blazers continued to battle as
Ben Milliken, the
Sarasota Observer's week 5 player of the week, completed 31 passes to 5 different receivers including 4 TD passes.
Travis Miller hauled in 10 for 102 yards and two TDs while
Colton Loftus and
Justin Brock both had TD catches. Miller has had back to back games with over 100 yards.
Justin Brock had 134 all purpose yards on the night.

The Blazers trailed 22-7 but scored to close out the half down just 22-14. The Blazers opened the second half with an impressive drive but came up short. After a blocked punt the Blazers got a field goal from Isiah Ledford to close the gape to 22-17 going into the 4
th.

The teams would trade TDs twice to start the 4
th. The Blazer defense got a stop late and the offense took the field with 6 minutes to go and drove down inside the ten. The Blazers could not convert in the redzone. The Thunder recovered a fumble on third and goal stopping the Blazer drive and then they were able to run out the clock.

The Blazers out gained the Thunder 375 to 365. The defense was lead by
Wyatt Campbell with 12 tackles (2 solo).
Jack Ford and
Carson Spenn added 9 each (1 solo) and Ford also blocked a punt.
Randall Collins,
Cale Zeltwanger and
Travis Miller all recorded tackles for loss. Â The Thunder improved to 5-0 while the Blazers dropped to 3-3. The Blazers will be off next week before traveling to Gateway Charter on October 4.
