The Blazers first drive ended in a 51 yard TD pass from
Ben Milliken to
Colton Loftus on 4th down. Loftus had 6 catches on the night. The Thunder would bounce back to take the lead on three strait scores before Milliken found
Noah Spenn for another 4th down TD strike from 8 yards out. The high scoring first quarter would come to a close with the Blazers trailing 14-28. The defense came up with stops in the 2nd quarter but the offense could not find points despite moving the ball into the redzone. The Thunder lead 28-14 at the half.
It was a full house and a great atmosphere as ABC7 and the Hearld Tribune made it their game of the week. The fans saw Milliken go over 8,000 passing yards in his career as he throw for 324 on the night. The Blazers made a comeback in the 4th quarter. Milliken's main target continued to be Spenn who caught two more TD pass and a 2-point conversion.
Justin Brock and
Elijah George each had 5 catches on the night.
The defense struggled to slow down the Thunder rushing attack that piled up 215 yards on the night. Alex Dominguiz-Basilo with 13 tackles and 2 sacks.
Jack Ford was in on 9 tackles.
Collin Lawson had 6 including a sack. Elliot Wagler had 8 tackles.
Wyatt Campbell recovered a fumble and blocked two extra points.
With the loss the Blazers fall to 3-3. Up next is a trip to Seffner Christian (4-1) next Friday at 7pm.
