The Blazers Beach Volleyball team finished a tough week on the road with a victory at home!
Tuesday, the girls traveled to Lemon Bay HS and lost 0-5, battling not only a good team but windy conditions. Thursday, they headed north to face TB Heat and found a similar fate of 0-5; facing an even tougher team but really battling to find their footing as pairs.
They managed to turn things around when hosting Seffner Christian on Friday and winning 4-1. #1 seed
Ryan Donlin/
Reagan Miller put on a strong performance for their home crowd, winning 21-9, 21-13. All four other pairs took their games to a 3rd set and battled to victory! #2 seed
Hallee Volkert had an impressive 12 aces and #3 seed
Linlee Mayer was close behind with 9 aces herself. Linlee's partner
Hayden Mullet recorded 22 digs during their match. The #4 seed was the only pair to fall short in the 3rd set, but they showed incredible hard work to get to that point. Finally the #5 seed
Sophie Miller and
Octavia Stoller in her debut match, won a tight back-and-forth match 21-18, 12-21, 15-13.
The Blazers Beach team will host its next match against Cambridge Christian on 3/31 at 4pm. Come out and support!
