Female Athlete of the Year-Haley Bolton

The Athlete of the Year Award is given annually to a male and female athlete. These athletes display dominance in their sport and often in multiple sports. They set a high standard for commitment and work ethic. They are great competitors who are striving to get better and pushing their teammates to do the same. They have demonstrated athletic excellence on the fields and courts of Sarasota Christian School.

The 2025 Female Athlete of the Year is a student that does everything with a toughness that you love to see on the court or field. She always battled hard on the volleyball court, went toe to toe with other teams best players in soccer, and went undefeated during the regular season and district tournament to win her bracket, helping to lead her team to the tennis programs first district championship. Her coaches had the following to say about her:

From Coach Dikranian, "It was an absolute pleasure coaching Haley for these two years. She brought toughness, grit, determination, and most importantly, you could always rely on her each game and in any role; she always delivered. What a role model she is to all other athletes around her. She is truly the player you look to build a program around".

From Coach Julio, "Standing on the sidelines as your coach this past season, I've seen first hand why your teammates and the coaching staff chose you for this honor. The middle is the most demanding spot on the volleyball court. It's a grind of constant jumping and closing blocks, often with very little glory. But you do the work every single day with a level of coachability that is rare. You don't just hear feedback; you apply it immediately, leading this team by example rather than just words. Your character is the foundation of our defense, and your work ethic is the heartbeat of this varsity squad. I'm honored to have been your coach. I am incredibly proud of the player you've become, but even more proud of the leader you are. You are on the right path. In everything you've put into this season, I'm reminded of Colossians 3:23 'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters'".

From Coach Tedder, "Haley has been a part of the tennis program since 6th grade. Throughout her time, she has always played with an energy and determination that was unrivaled. She always gives her all in everything that she does on the court, whether in practices or in matches. You can always count on Haley to give everything she has to her team".

From Coach Spenn, "I always loved watching her play with a gritty determination that elevated teammates and competed to the end."

This year's Female Athlete of the Year Award goes to Haley Bolton.
