Coach Tucker grew up in Southern California and started playing baseball at the age of 6 years old.  He attended Calvary Chapel High School and was a 4 year starter at the Varsity level.  During this time he won a CIF Championship, was named All CIF for 4 years, MVP of the Olympic League his senior year, posted a career ERA of 1.12, and was 1 win away from tying the Orange County record for most wins as a pitcher.

After high school Coach Tucker was recruited as a pitcher to play in Hawaii, but ended up hurting his arm and having Tommy John Surgery his freshman year.  Two years later, after intense rehabilitation, Coach Tucker did not return to Hawaii, but opted instead to go back home and play two years at a Junior College before transferring to Cal. State Fullerton where he played for legendary Coach George Horton. 

Before the Lord called Coach Tucker and his family to Florida, he lived in Colorado for 16 years, where he assistant coached for five years at Valor Christian High School and was a part of back to back to back state championships for the Eagles. Coach Tucker served as an assistant coach at SCS during the 2022 season. This is Coach Tucker's first year as the head varsity baseball coach at Sarasota Christian.

Coach Tucker resides in Sarasota with his wife, Lindsy and 2 kiddos, Eden, 12, and Benjamin, 9.
