Originally from Athens, Ohio where he played baseball for 4 years for Athens High School, Justin was named All-Conference as a junior/senior and was awarded 1993 Athens High School Athlete of the Year. Upon graduating high school, Scholl received an athletic scholarship to play baseball at the University of Notre Dame. As a 3 year Monogram recipient (1995-1997) during his playing career at Notre Dame, Justin played behind the plate as a catcher/1st baseman during his sophomore/junior years and right field as a senior. After graduating from Notre Dame, he began his professional career in the finance/accounting field, soon after starting a family with his wife Trella, and in early 2011 began coaching in Christian school. After coaching high school soccer and basketball in Indiana for 7 years and leading his teams to 4 IACS state championships, Justin continues to coach varsity girls basketball and varsity girls softball at Sarasota Christian School. Now, Scholl is in his 1st year as an assistant baseball coach for the SCS Blazers and resides in Sarasota with his wife Trella and his 2 children, Payton and Reese Scholl.
