I grew up in Middlebury, Indiana. Softball has always been a huge part of my life. I started playing in little league, then eventually moved to playing travel ball as well as high school softball. My travel team was very successful as well as my high school team, where we won 2 sectional championships. After high school I went to Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. I studied elementary education and was a member of the softball team. I played many different positions including pitcher, first base, third base, and the outfield.
I graduated college in 2023 and moved to Sarasota the summer of 2023. I began teaching second grade at SCS as well as being an assistant softball coach. Last year as an assistant coach, the softball team had a record of 7-11 and I was the recipient of the Assistant Coach of the Year at the SCS sports banquet.
I have coached softball at SCS for one season but prior to being apart of the Blazer family I have experience in coaching youth girls basketball teams in Indiana and running softball camps both in Indiana and Florida.
Softball has had a very positive impact on my life. It taught me many life skills and put influential people in my life. I am still in contact with many childhood coaches as well as teammates. They have pushed me to be a better person and player. I am so grateful for this sport.
As a coach I want to have the same positive impact on my players. I want to reflect Christ in all my actions and help them grow spiritually as well as athletically. My emphasis this year is going to be on Christ. He gave us the abilities to play this wonderful sport, we need to use what He gave to bring honor and glory to Him. I want these girls to succeed on the field, in the classroom, and in life. We will cultivate a culture of family, trust, and accountability.
