On Tuesday, February 15, the Blazers went up against the North Port Tigers in their first tennis match of the season. On the boy's side, after a slow start in most of the sets, the Blazers could not recover. With scores of 8-5, 8-0, 8-0, 8-1, and 8-2 in singles and scores of 8-0 and 8-0 in doubles, the boy's team ended with a 7-0 loss. It was the Tigers second match of the season and it showed. On the girl's side, Izzy Heidenberger starred in a close loss to the Tigers. Sarasota Christian lost 4-1 in singles, with Heidenberger winning.  The two teams split the doubles matches 1-1, with Emma Ferraro and Izzy Heidenberder winning their doubles match. A total score of 5-2 sent the women's team home dissappointed, but with hope of a good season on their mind. The Blazers look to bounce back on Tuesday, February 22, on the road against the Bayshore Bruins.
