The Blazer of the Year Award recognizes the top male student-athlete and female student-athlete who want to make a difference and change the world for the better. In every situation, they have a positive outlook with the unfailing faith that things will work out. They have confidence to face their fears straight on and press beyond them. These student-athletes do not follow the crowd, no matter how comfortable or easy it may be to conform. They have the conviction to stay focused on what matters most and ignore distractions that will take them away from making a big impact. These student-athletes are willing to press on when others would simply quit or take an easy way out. In short, they are great teammates that set a Christ like example for all to follow. They represent the qualities of a true Blazer athlete. This years female award winner is Madison Collins who had been an outstanding basketball and softball player during her time at SCS.
