The Lady Blazers were defeated by the Cardinal Mooney Lady Cougars 3-0 last night. After a tough first set, losing 25-6, the Lady Blazers couldn't recover. This was one of the toughest teams on their schedule, as the Lady Cougars have the Florida Player of the Year, Jordan Byrd. Still, the Lady Blazers didn't back down, with
Bella Bogacz getting a nice block on Byrd.
Ashlynn Poznanski led the defense with 11 digs, while
Kailey Hackbart showed offensive prowess, with a .400 hitting percentage on the night.
Madilyn Dreiling contributed with 4 kills and 4 digs. Overall, the Lady Blazers faced a great opponent, but showed that they can play with anybody. These matches help teams get better, and the Lady Blazers are not shying away from an opportunity at playing a great opponent.
