The girls participated in the SSAC Tournament this past weekend. After a tough loss to the Foundation Christian Lady Panthers Friday night, the Lady Blazers prepared themselves for a game against Tradition Prep for third place. The girls controlled the play throughout the first half, yet were stuck in a close game. After an inspirational speech from coaches Ledford and Spenn, the girls came into the second half with more passion. Looking to build off of Selah Spenn's first half goal, the Lady Blazers continued to push to break the 1-1 tie. Finally, Hailey Bolton scored her first goal of the season, giving the Lady Blazers a 2-1 lead. Not long after, Bolton scored again, driving the Lady Blazers to a 3-1 win and a third place finish in the tournament. The girls lost to the Cambridge Christian Crusaders Monday night in their final home game of the season. The girls have two games left on the season, looking to end the season on a positive note.
