The Lady Blazers looked strong against Southeast High on Thursday night, defeating the Seminoles 3-0 (25-7, 25-19, 25-11), in their only match this week. With Tuesday's and Friday's matches both being postponed due to hurricane Idalia, the game with Southeast was an important match to get the Lady Blazers rolling again as we head into a month where the Lady Blazers only play twice at home. Junior
Caitlin Webb led the way with 8 kills and 10 assists, while Senior
Delaney Wagler added 4 kills and 9 assists. The game was a good strong comeback from a disappointing weekend at the SSAA Invitational Tournament where the team went 2-3. This win pushes the Lady Blazers to 3-4 on the year.
The Lady Blazers take the court twice next week, Tuesday at the Gulf Coast HEAT and against Bell Creek Academy at SCS on Friday night, both games at 7pm.
