Blazers Fall To Kings Despite Late Comeback

Blazer Boys Soccer fought hard and came roaring back in the second half, but couldn't overcome an 0-2 first half. The Kings would score first, going up 0-1 after a goal in the 10th minute that caught the defensive back line sleeping. In the 34th minute, the Kings would strike again to make it 0-2 going into halftime. The Blazers would get a quick strike from Junior Cristian Sadelson after the Kings goalkeeper misplayed a pass to him by his defender and Sadelson took the ball away and drove the ball into the goal to come within 1 goal of the Kings. The game would be knotted at 2 all after a Sophomore Wyatt Campbell made a perfect pass from midfield to hit Sadelson for his second goal of the game. Cristian timed his run perfectly as the ball was touched to get behind the defenders and then was left 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper before putting the ball around the goalie and into the corner of the goal to tie the game. The Kings would come back with a 3rd goal late in the second half off of a perfectly placed corner kick that found a head and shot into the back of the goal. That was how the game would end, despite the Blazers driving down the field late in a last minute attempt, but Sadelson was unable to get the ball on goal for his third of the game. The Blazers played a very good second half, playing some of the best soccer that they have played in the last 3-4 years, but were unable to come out on top.

The Blazers will travel to the east coast of Florida this weekend for games against Masters Academy (Vero Beach) on Friday afternoon and Tradition Preparatory High School on Saturday afternoon.
