The Blazers Boys Soccer team couldn't overcome a fast start by Lakewood Ranch Prep and forward Ayush Panicker as they fell to 0-1 to begin the 2025-26 season. 

Panicker would strike four times in the first half and once in the second half before the Blazers defense were able to get into a groove and hold steady for the majority of the second half. At the twenty five minute mark, the Blazers would finally break through with a goal of their own as Nathan D'Alonzo would receive a pass from Cristian Sadelson and cross it to the middle. Freshman Jack Campbell (1) won the race to the ball with the Eagles goalkeeper and headed the ball into the corner of the goal for his first goal of the season. Goal number two would come just a few minutes later as Cristian Sadelson was taken down inside of the penalty box and awarded a penalty kick. Cristian (1) calmly drilled the ball past the goalie and into the right corner of the net to make it 6-2. The Blazers would score a third time after Jack Campbell fought hard for a ball and then crossed it into the middle to Owen Donato who was waiting in front of the goal for it. After the Eagles goalkeeper blocked Donato's first attempt to get it past him, the ball bounced the Blazers way and Donato (1) got a second chance that he buried in the corner of the net for his first goal of the season. That is how the game would end with the Blazers on the losing side of a 3-6 game.

Coach Nate Reeve's had this to say about the game "We had a lot a great chances early, but couldn't get the ball past the goalie." The Blazers had 17 shots, with 13 of them being on target, while forcing 9 corner kicks, showing a strong offensive presence.

The Blazers will now prepare for their next game against Bayshore Christian School next Tuesday at 7pm. The game was originally scheduled to be played in the Tampa near Bayshore Christian, but the game has been moved to Sarasota Christian as the Faith Warriors were unable to secure a field for the game.
