Sarasota Blazer Beach fell to Bradenton Christian in the semifinal round of districts.  The battle between the old time rivals was well fought on both sides and the overall score did not reflect the hard work shown on the courts.  #2s Ellie Miller and Caitlin Webb played their best game of the season, winning 26-24 in the first set, just before the "decision" call was made.  #4s Izzy Mocherman and Ali Smith took the Panthers to a 3rd set showing how far they truly have come this season.  #3s came up close but short in a final score of 19-21.  The overall score ended with Blazers 1, Panthers 3.  The BCS Panthers went on to defeat Cardinal Mooney 3-0 in the district final match that same day.  

The SCS Blazer Beach team had a phenomenal season of growth, hard work, dedication, and love for their teammates and the game.  Their final record closes out at 16-8 and every loss was a matter of single digit points.  We will deeply miss our 6 seniors and as we look to next season, we know it will bring a new chapter of growth for our school and beach program.
