The Blazer Girls Basketball team was dominant from the very beginning as they quickly distanced themselves from the Eagles en route to the WCAC Championship.
Octavia Stoller started the scoring, nailing a short jumper in the key before
Brenda Bresciani added a basket to make it 4-0 after a minute of play. Stoller would make the next two baskets and
Nikki Olupitan added one as well to make it a ten point game midway through the first quarter. The Blazers used some defensive pressure to minimize the Eagles offensive ability and got great offensive production from almost everyone as the team looks to gain some momentum heading into the last week of the season.
The Blazers will head to Lemon Bay High School in Englewood on Friday evening for a rematch with the Manta's after losing the first match-up two weeks ago by a score of 32-30.
