The Blazers traveled to Tampa on Tuesday and came out hot against the Lancers of Cambridge Christian, winning the first set. But the Blazers couldn't hold on as they'd drop the next three sets and the match 1-3 to drop to 4-9 on the season. The Blazers started off hot as they'd outscore the Lancers 10-1 with long service runs by Hallee Volkert and Linlee Mayer to open up the game. The Blazers would ride that momentum, forcing the Lancers taking into a timeout at 17-8 as the Blazers looked to take set one. But the momentum seemed to shift coming out of the timeout as the Lancers fought back to within three points at 20-17 before the Blazers pulled away to win the set at 25-19. Set number two had streaks from both teams as the Lancers held a steady lead most of the way, with the Blazers pulling to within one at 21-22 before the Lancers were able to finish the set 22-25 and tie the match. In set three, the Lancers went on a seven point streak to break open the set, eventually winning it 13-25. Set four was similar to the second set, with both teams going on streaks and the game being close late in the set. But with the set tied at 20-20, the Lancers would score the final five points to end the match 20-25.

The Blazers were led by Ryan Donlin with 12 kills, Selah Spenn with 8 blocks, and Hallee Volkert with 14 assists.

The Blazers will be on the road on Thursday as they head down to Fort Myers for a match against the Southwest Florida Christian Kings at 7pm.
