The Blazer Towel is a reminder of Jesus taking a towel and serving as He washed the feet of the disciples. It represents the charge of Matthew 20:28 - that the Son of Man did not come to serve but to serve others.
That is our calling - to serve others as we use our talents and gifts.  For the last several years, Gretchen Bogacz has served the athletes and Athletic Program of SCS through hours spent organizing and heading our Athletic Booster Club.  The Booster Club provides funding for equipment such as our beautiful new LED scores table or other equipment the budget does not cover. She has worked hard to see that events that honor our athletes are done well. Gretchen has raised funds, made phone calls, handled paperwork, attended hundreds of hours of games - often while manning the concession stand or ticket gate - and tirelessly cheered on the Blazers. Out of gratitude for that service the athletic department has presented Gretchen with its highest honor - the Blazer Towel.
