Female Athlete of the Year - Delaney Wagler

This year's Female Athlete of the Year is a young woman that excelled immensely on the court. In volleyball, she led the team in service points, aces, and assists, while also sending down a career high in kills during her senior season. Across her entire varsity career at SCS, she served over 100 aces, scored 324 points, and assisted on over 400 kills.

- From Coach Josh Jordan, "Delaney was an integral part of leading the girls indoor volleyball team to its third straight winning season. As the setter, she was crucial in the team's offense by distributing great sets to our hitters. Not only this, as one of the best servers in the district, she relied heavily on her serve to put teams out of system to establish our counter attacks. Beyond the game, she will be missed for her always dependable and positive attitude. No matter the score, she always encouraged her teammates to do their best".

- From Coach K, "Delaney is an incredible athlete and a leader on and off the court. She has grown so much in 5 years of beach volleyball, but in the last year, she has refined her skills to be a top tier athlete in her sport. Her shots became more precise, her mental capacity in the game remained steadfast, and her love for the game showed in her passion to pursue excellence on the court for herself, her partner, and her term. I can't imagine the team without her next year and we are so proud of everything she has accomplished.
