Al Harants is on campus nearly every day all year long. He has a passion for his sport built over a coaching career longer than my life that is contagious. His players love him and always ask about him when he is gone. One of my sweetest memories of my time at SCS was seeing players hug him when he returned from being gone for several days as he dealt with a personal loss. I know he is having a lot of fun and is a great example of continuing to give back at any age. It is my honor to present this year's second Volunteer Blazer of the Year to Al Harants.
