Male Athlete of the Year - Judah Avery

The 2023-24 Male Athlete of the Year is extremely athletic and has shown every bit of that athleticism this year. From football to soccer, and boys volleyball to track and field, he's been a little busy during his senior year. In football, he caught 12 passes for 278 yards and 6 touchdowns, while kicking a field goal and converting on 29 point after touchdowns. In soccer, he scored a team high 7 goals, while assisting on 2 goals. He threw down 9.6 kills per match in volleyball and even competed at a high level in a few track meets.

  • From Coach Reeves, "Judah was a critical piece of our soccer team this year.  He was able to play multiple positions seamlessly for us and excelled everywhere on the pitch.  Judah is a naturally gifted player and he stepped up for us in critical moments on the defensive end and offensively he had some big moments in set pieces and helped to gain momentum up the field.  His presence on our team will be missed and we wish him the best at the next level!"

  • From Coach Martin, "It's hard to put into words how much God has gifted Judah with great athletic ability. He has that Hero ability in him that allows him to carry the team to victory. No matter the situation or outcome you knew he was going to find a way to win or do something great. He never disappointed and was always fun to watch."

There are so many things that this athlete could do and he picked them up so fast. It was unfortunate to only have him for one season of football, but as our first ever college signee we will get to see him play again for the Southeastern Fire in the fall.
