The Boys Blazers Basketball Team competed in the 2026 SSAA 6A bracket at the AdventHealth Center in Lakeland, Florida, on Friday, January 16. This annual trip is always an exciting opportunity for the team to compete over the weekend. With four teams in the bracket, the Blazers opened tournament play against a strong Eagles View squad from Jacksonville, Florida. The game was competitive throughout, with both teams trading momentum, but the Blazers ultimately came up short, falling to Eagles View by a score of 76–55.

On Saturday, January 17, the Blazers faced a familiar local opponent, Out-of-Door Academy, in the third-place game. This highly anticipated matchup marked the third meeting between the two teams this season. The contest was close for much of the game, but ODA pulled away with a strong fourth-quarter performance. The Blazers were unable to respond and fell 55–43.

The Blazers will look to bounce back on Tuesday, January 20, when they return home to face local opponent Palm Grove Christian.
