On Tuesday evening, the Blazers hosted the Gators from Palm Grove Christian for what turned out to be arguably both teams best games offensively this season. The Gators were red hot from three point range, hitting 14 of 28, while shooting an effective field goal percentage of 74% on the night. The Blazers scored well on offense as well, getting 23 baskets from inside the paint. and making 7 of 13 three pointers, for an effective field goal percentage of 72.4%. But the Blazers were unable to keep up through the fourth quarter as they were outscored 16-7 as the Gators finished up on top 82-74. The game could easily be a springboard for both teams as they finish up the final two weeks of the season and head into their respective tournaments. Leading the Blazers in this game was a trio that played very well offensively.
Justin Brock had the best game of his career offensively, scoring 24 points and narrowly missing the double-double in assists with 9.
Noah Spenn also had a career high in points with 18, also narrowly missing the double-double with 9 rebounds.
Ben Milliken scored 17 points in the game, while leading the team in effective field goal percentage by shooting 85%.
The Blazers will host Lakewood Ranch High School on Friday evening in a game against the 6A Mustangs.
