The Blazer Boys Volleyball program hosted its second annual SCS Invitational Tournament, playing host to Academy at the Lakes, Palm Grove Christian, and Lakewood Ranch Prep Academy. The Blazers were slated to play against Academy at the Lakes and Palm Grove B on Friday evening as all teams played two pool play games to determine bracket seeding for Saturday's single elimination playoff bracket.
In game one, the Blazers played well, winning set one 25-17 and set two 26-24 to take the best of three match.
Noah Spenn led the way with 12 kills, while dealing out 16 assists in the game.
Cale Zeltwanger added 8 kills and 4 assists, while successfully defending 12 attacks from the Wildcats.
Travis Miller led the way defensively with 16 digs, adding 4 kills.
Game two was a little bit looser for the Blazers as they won set one 25-16 and set two 25-15 to secure the match.

Noah Spenn dished out 11 assists.
Tait Zeltwanger was big at the net with 2 blocks in the match. From the service line,
Travis Miller served up 7 aces in the game, a season high for the Blazers so far in the early parts of the season.
The wins placed the Blazers in the second seed for Saturday's tournament as Palm Groves A team had a higher point differential, placing them up against Lakewood Ranch Prep in Saturday's semi-final match. Against Lakewood Ranch Prep, the Blazers played an all around solid game of a volleyball, defeating the Eagles 25-15 and 25-9 to advance to the championship game.
Cale Zeltwanger led the way with 9 kills, 1 block and 3 digs, assisting on four kills.
Noah Spenn added six kills, 2 blocks and 10 assists of his own.
Travis Miller added five aces from service.
Matched up against Palm Grove A in the championship game, the Blazers fought hard in set one, but couldn't finish as they lost the set 27-25 to the Gators. The Blazers were unable to bounce back from the first set loss and fell in the second set 25-11, taking second place in the tournament.
