In the first game of the year, the Sarasota Christian Boys' Varsity team defeated Babcock Neighborhood School 76-40. The game was a great way to start the season for the Blazers. The Blazers went into halftime up 39-17, then in the third quarter the Blazers erupted for 30 points and held Babcock to 7 points. When the fourth quarter came to an end, the Blazers were up 76-40.
    
It was a great team win, with everyone on the team getting at least 5 points. Freshman Ben Milliken lead the team with 23 points and  Senior Jayven Szewczyk had 19 points. Senior point guard Maison Montgomery, lead the team with 5 assists for the game. Senior Simon Dik and Sophomore Randall Collins gave the team a great effort on rebounds, combining for 17 rebounds. Simon lead the team with 10 rebounds.
