The Blazers Boys Varsity Basketball Team started off their week with a convincing victory over the SMA Eagles. The Blazers came away with a 63-23 victory. The JV also won making it the second time this season that the Blazers swept SMA. The team came out slow in the first half but had a great finish to the game. In the first half the team was good defensively but struggled to get points on the board. In the second half they picked up the offense scoring 41 points in the second half while holding SMA to 12 points. Freshman
Travis Miller had his best game of the year, leading the team with 16 points. Three other Blazers were in double digits as Jayven Szewczyck,
Ben Milliken, and
Maison Montgomery all scored 10 points. On Friday, SCS will start the SSAC tournament with a game against Babcock Neighborhood School who the Blazers beat in the first game of the year. This tournament will be hosted by SCS.
