The Boys Blazers Basketball team (5-4) played Lakewood Ranch Prep (2-6) on Thursday, December 12th. The Blazers came out a bit hesitant in the first quarter but managed to lead 9-6. In the second quarter, they found their rhythm, with Travis Miller scoring 10 points and helping the team extend their lead to 26-14 at halftime. The third quarter didn't start as expected, with LWRP scoring 4 quick points in under a minute. But Coach Bruinsma got the team back on track with a quick timeout, they allowed just 1 more point for the rest of the quarter. The Blazers finished strong, winning 52-29. Leading the way in scoring were Travis Miller with 16 points, Justin Brock with 10, Randall Collins with 8, and Noah Spenn, who chipped in 7 points off the bench.
The Blazers are back at it Friday, December 14th, taking on Bradenton Christian at 7:00 PM.
