Blazer Boys Basketball traveled to Imagine School at North Port on Thursday evening for a game against the Sharks. The Blazers had a tough time finding the bottom of the net, but played a great defensive game. The Blazers briefly held a 9-8 lead in the first quarter, but that proved to be the last time they led as Imagine would go on an 11-2 run to take the largest lead of the game at 19-11. But the Blazers came right back and neither team could escape with an early victory as the game came right down to the final minute. The Blazers trimmed the lead to one at 41-40 with a minute to go after holding off the sharks for two minutes and getting baskets from Drew Sirianni and Ben Milliken. The effort would give the Blazers a chance to take the lead with fifteen seconds, but Milliken couldn't get the shot to fall and the Blazers were forced to foul and put the Sharks at the free throw line. The Blazers then failed to get the rebound after the Shark shooter missed the second free throw and had to put them on the line again and the new Shark shooter would make both free throws to put the lead to 4 points. Another Shark free throw would make the final 45-40. The Blazers were led by Milliken's first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Sirianni and Justin Brock each added 6 and Travis Miller and Noah Spenn added 5 each.
