The Blazers boys basketball team played their 13th home game of the season on Tuesday, January 13, tipping off at 7:00 p.m. The game began slowly for the Blazers, as they fell behind 8–0 early in the first quarter. Showing determination and improved execution, the Blazers responded with several scoring runs and took the lead on a last-second layup by Cale Zelwanger, ending the first quarter ahead 16–14.
The Blazers carried that momentum into the second quarter, putting together a strong performance to take a 32–25 lead into halftime. The second half belonged entirely to the Blazers, who erupted for 20 points in the third quarter and added another 18 in the fourth. Their dominant play secured a convincing 70–53 victory.
