The Varsity Boys Basketball team played three games over the Christmas break and came out 2-1, to push their record to 10-5 on the year.
The break started with a win against Bayshore HS at home on Friday December 19th, 65-62 in overtime. The program spent the next week with family before coming back on Saturday the 27th to prepare to play in this years Holiday Classic. The Blazers battled it out with All Saints' Academy in game one of the Classic, ultimately falling to the Saints by a score of 53-45 after leading for most of the game. The loss placed the Blazers in the consolation game on Tuesday against Cambridge Christian. The Blazers played well on Tuesday, controlling the entire game, not giving up the lead from the tip, to take the victory 72-46. Sarasota Christian was led by Junior
Cale Zeltwanger's near triple-double performance. The Blazers played again on Friday of last week, inviting Babcock Ranch HS to Sarasota for our first game of the 2026 calendar year. The Blazers came out very strong defensively, going on a 36-6 run from midway in the first quarter through halfway through the fourth quarter, taking the game 58-33.

The Blazers are back in action on Tuesday at Saint Stephen's at 7pm. The two teams played in the first week of December with the Falcons taking the game late with a score of 53-47.
