Boys and Girls Basketball are both set to host at the FHSAA District Tournament this week. 

For the #2 seed girls (14-7), they will host #3 seed Lakeside Christian (12-5) on Wednesday evening at 7:00pm. The schools have only one common opponent in Foundation Christian Academy. The Blazers defeated FCA in an away game 67-45 early last week, while the Lions defeated them 77-43 away in mid December and 48-36 at home two weeks ago. Lakeside is ranked #367 in the state of Florida and is ranked #29 in FHSAA Class 1A, while the Blazers are currently ranked #268 in the state and #20 in FHSAA Class 1A.

If the Blazers make it past the Lions, they'll play against #1 seed Keswick Christian for the District Championship on Friday night at Keswick Christian. All three teams have a chance at making the regional tournament win or lose.

For the #1 seed boys (15-10), they will host the winner of #4 seed Lakeside Christian (9-13) and #5 seed Gulf Coast HEAT (8-13) at Sarasota Christian on Thursday night at 7pm. The only game between the three teams came back on December 11th when the HEAT visited the Blazers and were defeated 65-26. All three schools have played Foundation Christian Academy, with Sarasota Christian winning last week 70-34, while Lakeside split with the Panthers, losing away 52-46 in December and winning at home two weeks ago 53-50, and the HEAT dropping both match-ups against the Panthers 82-58 and 66-48. 

If the Blazers make it past the HEAT or Lions, they'll face off against either #2 seed Canterbury (12-6), #3 seed Keswick Christian (10-11), or #6 seed The Classical Academy of Sarasota (2-11). Currently, Sarasota Christian, Canterbury, and Keswick Christian all have potential to make the FHSAA Regional Tournament, win or lose, while the winner of the District Tournament gets an automatic bid.

The FHSAA requires that District Tournament games are only streamed on the NHFS network and they set the paywall for this game. Unfortunately we cannot provide our normal free streaming. Here are the links to the NFHS Network for the semi-final games.
