The Blazer Boys Basketball team hosted Lakeside Christian on Thursday evening for an FHSAA Class 1A District 11 match-up with the Lions. Going into the game, Ben Milliken was at 1482 points, needing just 18 more to become just the second Blazer boy to cross the 1500 point mark during his career here at Sarasota Christian. Ben would do just that as he'd score exactly 18 points to help lead the Blazers past the Lions and into the District Championship Game against the Keswick Christian Crusaders on Saturday evening.

The Blazers would come out strong offensively and defensively as they'd hold the Lions to just 7 points in the quarter, while putting up 23 to take a 16 point lead. The defensive intensity increased in the second quarter and the Blazers surrendered just 5 points in the quarter as they'd head into the halftime locker room with a 40-12 lead. The second half saw lots of playing time for the Blazer reserves as they continued to shut down the Lions offensively, giving up just two baskets in the second half to finish the game at 71-17. Milliken's 18 points was enough to lead the Blazers as Drew Sirianni added 14 himself. Tristan Skelton and Aiden Reeves both came off the bench with 8 points, while Tait Zeltwanger knocked down a pair of threes for his 6 points.

The Blazers will host Keswick Christian School on Saturday as the Blazers try to reclaim the District Championship, having not won it in since the 2016-17 year when the Blazers knocked off Saint Stephen's Episcopal 49-42 in the semifinal and then Out-of-Door Academy 62-58 in the District Championship.
