On February 21, SCS baseball started their season off against Sarasota Military Academy. The Blazers have been working hard in practice, led by returning head coach Tyler Bocock. Sophomore
Randall Collins was on the bump as he started off hot in the first inning with 3 strikeouts. The blazers would keep this momentum and got the bats swinging early on as
Randall Collins would bring in a run with an RBI double. Randall would stay hot defensively as he would end up with eight strikeouts on the night with no hits given up. On the offensive side, the blazers would keep swinging bringing in eight runs in the third with an inside the park grand slam from eight grader
Evan Poznanski who would have four RBI's on the night. Additionally, senior
Maison Montgomery was two for two with two hits including a double and two runs batted in. Freshman
Justin Brock would come in to relieve
Randall Collins and would end the night off in four innings due to mercy rule. The Blazers will go on the road to face Foundation Academy Friday, February 24.
