The Lady Blazers played in their opening game of the year against a very tough Lakeside Christian team in Clearwater. After a tough five innings of pitching from the Lions, the Lady Blazers fell 14-2 by run rule. The Lady Blazers would record just five hits on the day with Audrey Jackson going 2 for 2 at the plate and scoring one of the teams two runs, while also stealing a base in the game. Ashton Klinger would have the Lady Blazers only RBI on the day, going 1 for 3 at the plate and also recording a stolen base. Selah Spenn stole a base and scored the seconnd run of the game for the Lady Blazers. Klinger and Spenn would split time on the mound with Klinger going three innings and giving up 8 runs for her first loss of the year, while Spenn worked the fourth inning, giving up 6 runs and recording three strikeouts in the inning.
