The Lady Blazers played Family Christian Academy Mustangs for home opener and took home their first win of the season. The Lady Blazers scored early and often during the four inning game that ended at 17-0 due to mercy rule with a walk off three run triple by Sam Mitchell. Mitchell hit the ball hard each time at the plate and came away with an inside the park home run as well. Senior Captain Kate LeClair, fresh off the airplane from the Senior trip to Washington D.C. over the weekend, hit the ball well too, hammering a ball down into the left field corner for an inside the park grand slam. Freshman Ashton Klinger took the mound for the Lady Blazers and notched the first win of her high school career with a complete game shutout.
