The Blazers will host the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons on Tuesday night for the Booster Clubs spring Blue and Gold Night. The 1-5 Flacons come into the game with a four game losing streak and the 6-3 Blazers come in with a two game winning streak over two local public schools. Freshman Colin Lawson will start on the mound for the Blazers baseball team. Colin will be pitching for the 5th time and he comes in with a 5.25 ERA, having pitched five and a third innings and striking out five batters. On the offensive side of the ball, Junior
Alex Hefti and Sophomore
Randall Collins are coming off hot games against the Booker Tornadoes in which they combined for five hits, three RBI's, and six runs in the game. They will try and keep the same level of play and hope to help fuel the rest of the Blazers against a tough Falcons pitching staff. The last time these two teams met, the Blazers playoff hopes were dashed after a district defeat that ended the 2021 season.
Tuesday's game will be held at home at 6:00. All are welcome to come out and support the Blazers. Free hotdogs and hamburgers will be sponsored by Custom Air & Plumbing. Free cotton candy is being provided by Sarasota Baptist Church. Lower school students are invited to participate on the field during the National Anthem and will be allowed to run the bases after the ball game is over.
