The Blazers 2023 Baseball Season came to an end on Tuesday night with a 11-0 loss against the Thunder of ODA. The Thunder have a 18-7 record and will play in the district championship against Imagine at North Port. The Blazers had a successful season this year. They secured a home district game and the district tournament win for the first time since 2019. Freshman
Justin Brock had a terrific season leading the team in Batting Average with a .383 average. He and Sophomore
Randall Collins both tied in hits with 23 on the year. Randall also led the team with 23 RBI's and 8 extra base hits on the season. Junior
Alex Hefti reached base the most, posting a .532 on base percentage. On the defensive side of the ball, Brock also lead the team on the mound, going 5-5 on the year and striking out 42 batters. Colin Lawson was the team leader in ERA with 5.06.
Rowan Baum was very solid on the field with a .966 fielding percentage. The 11-11 season was full of ups and downs, but the future is looking bright as Senior
Maison Montgomery set the bar for the program with hard work and dedication to the team. The team showed on and off the field this year, and Coach Bo was very proud of the efforts given by under and upper classmen.
