Blazer football is officially an 11-man football team and will participate in the Sunshine State Athletic Association for the 2024 season. As the Blazers enter their third year as a program they found tremendous success in 8-man with a combined record of 15-8. The Blazers will open up on the road at Old Plank, another 8-man turned 11-man team that the Blazers beat last year. The home opener will be Bishop McLaughlin on August 30. Coach Spenn had this to say, "Next year will be filled with new teams, new challenges and new uncertainty but it is right where we need to be as a program. I am expecting 50 football players on the roster in the fall and am excited about the prospects. We will still continue to have a JV team that plays 8-man which will result in everyone having opportunities to compete each week. We are looking forward to more blockers on the field and more guys on the sideline and for the first time we will take the field with experienced senior leadership and it will all start with a kickoff."
