The Lady Blazers trailed most of the game in their season home opener against the Panthers from Foundation Christian. The Panthers jumped out to 1-0 lead after the first and would add three more in the top of the third. Some aggressive base running by
Selah Spenn made it 4-1 after three innings. Spenn would go 3 for 3 on the day with 2 RBI's. She would score 3 runs, including the go ahead run in the bottom of the 6th.
Ashton Klinger went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI's.
Devoni McLaughlin and
Alice Nouri recorded RBI's for the Blazers as well.

Devoni McLaughlin closed out the last two innings and earned the victory. In total the Lady Blazers had 14 hits as they drove in 6 runs on the night. 2 crossed in the 5th to cut lead to 1 but FCA picked up a run in the top of the 6th before the Blazers scored 3 in the bottom of the 6th with the defense closing it out in the 7th. The Blazers will travel to All Saints on Tuesday, February 27 as they look for 2 in a row.
