The Blazers baseball team celebrated and honored seniors Chris Delgado,
Alex Hefti,
Luke LeClair, and
Connor Lundy on Tuesday evening before their game against the Gulf Coast HEAT.
Evan Poznanski got the start for the Blazers and was perfect through the first inning with 2 strikeouts.
Rowan Baum came in to relieve Poznanski in the second inning and pitched a very good three innings, giving up just 1 earned run on four hits and striking out 5 batters.
Justin Brock would work a perfect inning as well, striking out all 3 batters he faced. On the offensive side, the Blazers scored three in the first, two in the third, one in the fourth, and then finished the game with a five run fifth inning to win 11-1 by way of the 10 run fifth inning mercy rule. Leading the way for the Blazers at the plate was
Collin Lawson, going 2-3 with a run and 2 RBI's.
Randall Collins also had a strong night at the plate, going 1-2 with a sacrifice fly, scoring 2 runs and 2 RBI's. Senior
Luke LeClair was perfect at the plate on senior night, going 1-1, with a walk and sacrifice bunt, while also stealing a base.
The Blazers are back in action at SCS on Thursday evening against the Lancers of Cambridge Christian School at 7pm.
