I have the opportunity to work with an outstanding group of coaches. We have over 40 coaches working with our 33 teams. Most of these coaches play the role of assistant coach. Assistant coaches play a vital role in building athletic programs as they multiply the time and ability of the head coach. We want to take the time to honor one of our assistant coaches at this time. 

This year's assistant coach of the year always has a smile and a joy that is contagious. She started showing up before her first SCS school year started with a desire to be transformational in the lives of students at our Blazer Way Leadership Training. Her passion for the game and the athletes is evident if you just saw her for a couple minutes on the softball diamond. I am looking forward to watching her grow as she takes over the leadership of the softball program next year.

The 2023-24 Assistant Coach of the Year award goes to Ashley Beckler.
