Ryan Mayer was named assistant coach of teh year for his work with the middle school football and baseball programs this year. He has a heart for teaching not just the sport but mentoring and discipleship in the lives of athletes as he points them towards Christ. This was evident in a quote from an athlete that said "He focuses on teaching because he always wants us to do our best in everything that we do and helps us to learn more every time we take the field. We are much better because of it and it has helped us be confident in our abilities." That quote happens to have come from his son, Judah. He has coached both football and baseball in a way that has helped prepare kids for high school and beyond.
