2025 Male Athlete of the Year - Randall Collins

The Athlete of the Year Award is given annually to a male and female athlete. These athletes display dominance in their sport and often in multiple sports. They set a high standard for commitment and work ethic. They are great competitors who are striving to get better and pushing their teammates to do the same. They have demonstrated athletic excellence on the fields and courts of Sarasota Christian School.

Randall Collins is the 2025 Male Athlete of the Year. Randall excelled at three sports this year and was a leader on each of those teams. Whether he was catching passes or sacking quarterbacks on the football field, pulling down rebounds on the basketball court, or hitting .526 and leading the baseball team to sweep a home and away series against Bradenton Christian, he was a solid competitor that never let up.His coaches had this to say:

From Coach Bruinsma, "He is one of my favorite guys to ever come through Sarasota Christian. His energy, passion, and effort have been contagious in our boys basketball program since he scored his first varsity basket against TCA years ago. He played a massive role on all three teams he played for and all three of them had winning seasons. All you ask for as a coach is that your players play hard, play smart, and play together. He embodies that. I am thankful to his parents for raising such a great kid, and am very appreciative that I had the opportunity to be his basketball coach for his entire career at Sarasota Christian."

From Coach White, "In baseball, his natural athleticism shines through. His speed, agility, and patting prowess make him a formidable presence on the field. Whether playing catcher, pitcher, first base, or contributing as a key hitter, he consistently elevates the team's performance. His commitment to teamwork, as well as sportsmanship, reflects the character of a true athlete."

From Coach Spenn, "I am grateful that he decided to take on a new sport in football and be a part of building a program. He brought a passion and energy to the field that made everyone better. It did not matter the sport or my role in it, regardless I loved watching him play."
