Each year the athletic department give out an award for service called the Balzer Towel. "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve." Matthew 20:28. As Christ washed the disciple's feet, you have been an example of service to us and we will always owe you a great debt of gratitude. The Blazer Towel award is designed to recognize significant service to the athletic department. To highlight people who have done the little things to be the hands and feet of Christ. This year the honor of this award goes to head baseball coach,
Ray White. He started putting in countless hours long before the season started to ensure our facilities were the best they could be and that everything was planned out way in advance. He brought stability to a program that had not seen very little the year before. Taking care of those small details resulted in success on the scoreboard, but this award is about his willingness to do the little things that often go unnoticed. Thank you for your willingness to serve our athletes through coaching.
