The Lady Blazers played against Riverview Academy of Math and Science and won with a final score of 10-6. The Blazers started off the game hot, scoring five in the first inning, and they didn't go an inning without scoring a run.
Brooklyn Loftus got the game started with a walk and
Giada Down doubled on a line drive to left field to score the first run. After a
Selah Spenn walk, Down would score on a passed ball and
Kinsley Grieser would double to left field, scoring Spenn to take a 3-0 lead.
Bralyn Yoder and
Dakota Guerrero would both single to load the bases, before
Nora Blasewitz would drive in two runs with an infield single, pushing the lead to 5 before the Barracudas would come up to the plate. After a quiet bottom of the inning, both teams would score a run in the 2nd. The Blazers would get two in the top of the third as
Dakota Guerrero would double and
Orchid Moli-Pouesi would single to set up
Reagan Volkert with two runners on and one out. Volkert would strikeout, but the final strike would hit the ground, resulting in the seventh run coming across the plate and Moli-Pouesi ending up on third base. Loftus would get the RBI single to left field to push the lead to 7. The Barracudas would get five runs in the bottom of the third, but that was the last that they would get as Loftus would take the mound and shut down the Barracudas bats.
