Runs were hard to come by for the Blazers in the SSAA tournament. The Blazers had multiple innings with multiple men left on base, including the first inning where the bases were left loaded. The Panthers strung together timely hits and put two runs up early. Then in the top of the 7th inning
Isaiah Miller hit a bloop single to left and
Justin Brock walked, bringing
Evan Poznanski up. Poznanski hit a shot to left field which was allegedly 385 feet to put the Blazers up by one. But in the bottom of the inning, the Blazers couldn't locate a passed ball, allowing two runs to score on the play and giving the Panthers the 4-3 win. Miller had a strong day at the plate, going 2-3 and scoring a run, while Brock and Poznanski were both 2-4. Brock led the way on the mound, giving up eight hits and striking out five.
The Blazers, now 11-9, will head to Seffner Christian on Tuesday night as they enter their final week of the season.
