In an exciting extra inning softball game Sarasota Christian fought hard against Lakeside Christian. They were down 0-2 in the second inning but won the game with a walk off single in the bottom of the 8th. The Lady Blazers had a total of seven hits, Dakota Guerro, Brooklyn Loftus, Giada Down, and Kinsley Grieser all had one a piece. While Bralyn Yoder had two. One of them being a huge triple that scored the tying run in the bottom of the 6th inning. In the bottom of the 8th, Down was able to advance Loftus on a SAC bunt. Then Selah Spenn had the walk off single scoring Loftus. Loftus had a stellar performance on the mound for the Lady Blazers. She threw all eight innings and had a total of 12 strikeouts. Loftus only allowed 2 hits. The Lady Blazers play again this weekend at the SSAA tournament in Longwood, FL. They will take on First Academy on Friday at 4pm and then play again on Saturday morning.
